A thought: While electric cars do reduce greenhouse gasses significantly compared to cars with internal combustion engines, we still have an obsession with automobiles, car manufacturing plants spewing CO2, high death and disability rates from car accidents (now you cannot hear them coming!), more bitumized land, parking space and disposal issues.
